How To Make A Valentine’s Day Crown
Video guide on how to make the Valentine’s Day crown.
Step by Step Guide
Step 1 – Make the Crown Base
To create the crown base, first you will need to measure the head. Take a piece of cardstock paper around 6 cm wide and cut it to cover the circumference of the child’s head. Use glue to stick the two ends.

Step 2 – Attach The Pipe Cleaners
Take two pipe cleaners and wrap them around a pen or something similar. This will make a spiral shape.
Once they are ready, use glue to attach the pipe cleaner shapes to the crown. Let the glue dry completely.

Step 3 – Attach the Felt Hearts
Using a glitter felt (or something in a Valentine colour!), cut out several heart shapes (You can also cut any other Valentine shapes like stars, flowers…).

TIP : To make a perfect heart shape, fold a piece of paper in half and then cut half a heart shape along the fold. When you unfold it, you’ll have a symmetrical heart. Then you can use this as a template.
Glue the felt hearts to the end of pipe cleaners.

Step 4 – Use More Felt Hearts On Crown Base
Cut out different sized heart shapes to make the crown base more beautiful. Glue them as shown below.
Space them out evenly or cluster them together in the middle, depending on your design preference.

Let everything completely dry. Here you have a beautiful Valentine’s day crown for your children.
If you like, you can twist more pipe cleaners into small loops or spikes and glue them around the top edge of the crown to create a more crown-like look.
