This recycling craft project requires simple supplies such as paper plates, paint and popsicle sticks to create a cute tiger mask.
Ideal for toddlers and preschoolers, it promotes imaginative play while enhancing fine motor skills as they cut, paint, and put together their masks.
Whether for a themed celebration or a fun indoor activity on a rainy day, this paper plate tiger mask is sure to be a hit!

Supplies
- A paper plate
- Black and orange paint and a brush
- A popsicle stick
- Glue/Scissors
Step By Step Guide To Make Paper Plate Tiger Mask
1. Prepare the Paper Plate
Start with a plain paper plate. This will serve as the base of your tiger mask. Cut it in half as shown in the picture.

2. Paint the Black Stripes
Create three sets of triangle stripes around the paper plate. A ruler can help you with this. You can also try a zigzag pattern instead.
Then you can paint the stripes with black. Let the paint dry.

3. Cut Out the Eye Holes
Draw two circles in the centre of the paper plate. Carefully cut them out using a paper knife or scissors. Make sure they are big enough for the child to see through comfortably.
You can help the kids with this step if required.

4. Paint the Tiger’s Face
Paint the entire paper plate with orange. Let it completely dry before moving to the next step.

5. Add the Nose and Ears
Create a small oval shape using the remaining half of the paper plate or some construction paper. Then, draw the nose, mouth and whiskers on it. If you prefer, you can also cut out these features and glue them onto the oval.
Then glue it to the centre of the mask as the tiger’s nose.

Cut out two small triangles to make the tiger’s ears. Paint them with black and orange paint.
Glue the ears onto the top of the paper plate.
6. Attach the Popsicle Stick
To finish, glue the popsicle stick handle to the bottom of the mask. Make sure to attach it firmly to the back so it remains hidden from the front.

Let it dry and your kids have a beautiful tiger mask to play with.
